JOB DESCRIPTION: PERFORMANCE BASED
JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
JOB REPORT TO: Finance Manager
DEPARTMENT&NORMAL DUTY STATION: Finance Department.

JOB PURPOSE:
We are a leading company with regional presence seeking to hire Accountant/Cost Accountant. S/he will lead the business Unit’s marketing and ensures optimum revenue and business growth.
We are seeking for an individual with keen attention to details and strong interpersonal skills, a team, a player, and able to work in a high pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
i. Developing and maintaining cost accounting system, documentation and records
ii. Determining of fixed costs and monthly calculation of absorption of overheads per value stream.
iii. Ensuring g costing forecasts, accuracy of product costing and analysis of production data.
iv. Preparation of timely and periodical profitability report for decision making.
v. Benchmarking and recommending best practices in production costing and cost saving
vi. Monitoring actual V\S budgeted consumption of materials and other variables for control purpose.
vii. Periodically participate and assist internal audits
viii. Any other duty that may be reasonably allocated to you by the directors.

Qualifications
i. Bachelor’s degree in accounting\finance, or the equivalent.
ii. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, in production or related experience
iii. Registration in a professional body shall be an added advantage
iv. Strong computer skills in accounting software, e.g SAGE, MS,office Suite etc.
v. Registration in a professional body shall be an added advantage
