A 4-star Hotel in Lamu, is looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department. He/she will be responsible for doing payroll, day-to-day accounting operations as well as financial reports. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry. He/she Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.Key Responsibilities:.Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant discipline.•Must have CPA/ACCA qualification.•Must have at least 5 years of experience in General Accounting.•Experience in Hospitality Industry desirable.•Knowledgeable in Accounting software, especially QuickBooks/ Excel.•Strong financial management skills.•Have proven analytical skills.•Excellent Presentation skills.•Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.•Work successfully under pressure and good at multitasking.•Excellent People Management and communication skills.• Verify cash receipts & credit card transactions on a daily basis.• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations.• Responsible for tax and statutory requirements.• Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis.• Prepare budget & monitor variances.• Responsible for supplier payments and supervising the controller procurement.• Responsible for handling payrol
