A modern and fast growing online ride company in Africa and other parts of the world and aimed at providing an on demand taxi service across major cities and towns. They are looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to be part of the in- house engineering experts. He/She will be tasked with developing high – performing applications with an aesthetic outlook. He/She shall help continue to build out the platform within customer and driver apps for Android.
Person Specification? BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

? Proven software development experience and Android skills development

? Proven working experience in Android app development Experience in multi-threaded environments

? Experience and mastery of Android development

? Experience with unit testing, Android emulation, and cloud automated testing tools

? Must have an app that you made in the play store

? Mastery of Java & Object-Oriented programming and design

? Proven track record for meeting targets & deliverables independently and as part of a team effort

Responsibilities

? Work in sync with UX, Design & Product Management teams to deliver cohesive and timely developments? Develop top-notch applications in complex, multi-threaded environments

? Develop automated tests and maintain code quality

? Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

? Track, diagnose, and repair application errors, performance issues, and deployment issues

? Develop high-performing applications with a clean, minimalist aesthetic within the Brand

? Work through to move teams forward with agile methodologies

? Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

? Bug fixing and improving application performance

Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years
