Basic Salary for this position is between Kshs. 33,481 /= by Kshs. 1,066/= to Kshs. 45,200 /=Job Description for Animal Health TechnicianPrepare for practical classes/Courses for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studentsEnsure that all equipment, supplies, specimen and reagents are available.Maintain laboratory solutions, equipment and apparatusCollect and preserve of animal microorganism in the laboratoryCalibration and maintenance of laboratory equipmentDevelopment and maintenance of inventory of Laboratory reagents and equipmentAssist in management of livestock in the teaching farmResearch and consultancyAny other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.Job Requirements for AppointmentA Diploma in Animal Health/Applied Biology/Veterinary Medicine or any other relevant training from a recognized institutionAt least Five (5) years relevant work experience working with livestock farmers or in a busy research and diagnosis veterinary laboratory or in a busy animal teaching institutionMust be Registered with Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB) or Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB) or any other relevant professional body
