The ideal candidate for Art Director has demonstrable experience in the Creative and/or Digital Marketing space, and has worked as a team leader with a portfolio to show for his/her best achievements.ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with the graphic designers to assess the needs of clients or the company, formulate project strategies, and design visual elements for advertising campaignsDelegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions as needed (Traffic Management)Collaborate with the copywriting department to generate clear and innovative ideas and conceptsCreate sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualise ideas effectivelyConducting research to gain a deeper understanding of brand goals, target audiences, and industry trendsIdentifying gaps and filling them through training, capacity building and suggesting better management for the Creative DepartmentTroubleshooting any design, personnel, or process issues that may ariseIdentifying areas for process improvement within the design department.Qualifications3 years experience as an ADExperience in graphic design with a supporting portfolioProficiency with graphic design softwares e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.Strong Interpersonal, time and project management, presentation, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to lead a team and to delegate responsibilities
