GENERAL FUNCTION:
Performs a variety of assigned duties and special projects within the Commercial Division. Becomes familiar with the business practices, operations, and procedures because of the on-the-job learning that occurs throughout the internship. Acquires basic knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Add value to each department by performing the duties and assignments determined by the manager.
Observe procedures and workflow to become familiar with how the department functions.
Handle special assignments/projects as assigned by department manage.
Build a network of contacts within Commercial and supporting divisions.
Attend formal training classes when appropriate.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Working towards a four-year college degree required (sophomores or juniors).
1 year of relevant experience preferred (Internships and co-ops can fulfill this requirement).
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task and to be flexible.
Experience with Microsoft office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to demonstrate initiative, as this is an internship is structured to involve extensive self-learning.
