Job Description

The company's investment involves acquiring land in the open market next to Universities and other key hubs where young people prefer living, constructing the buildings, leasing out to tenants and then managing the properties on a full services basis for the long term.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to the CEO, the job holder develops and implements proactive internal and external communications to a high professional standard. He/ she will also act as an Executive Assistant to the CEO.
The role entails an effective administrator able to handle both internal and external executives and other stakeholders in a professional/confidential manner. The position holder will manage the communication/feedback process of relevant information from the CEO Office and the company as a whole.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Assistant
Provide Strategy & Planning support to the CEO office in an efficient and effective manner. The job holder will have a critical interface with all other business functions including driving synergies and alignment between teams.
Being in a central role, the job holder is required to build an in depth understanding of the business and the role of each function, to be able to generate meaningful information (connecting all aspects of the business as well as highlighting inter-dependencies/ bottle necks).
Effective time management to achieve and enhance the operation and service of the CEO office.
Handle CEO’s requirements in a professional and confidential manner.
Organize and manage all aspects of conferences/events/ meetings by ensuring all logistical aspects i.e. venue bookings, transport and accommodation are well synchronized and within budget with no hitches and delays.
Provide secretarial support to CEO including event and diary management.
Maintain accurate records (in hard and soft copies).
Internal Communication
Prepare, contribute to, and/ or edit creative, organizational communication for internal audiences.
Improve internal communication channels by providing effective opportunities for employees to engage LT members and reinforce business objectives.
External Communication/ Public Relations
Develop and manage key relationships with local media editors, writers and reporters. Embed an appropriate and professional relationship w/ the press including quick, responsible ways of communicating.
Communicate a coherent corporate identity (one which minimizes discrepancies between the Company’s perceived identity and projected identity) to external stakeholders.
Proactively manage the Company’s relationship with the media liaison to ensure effective and timely dissemination of accurate company data to the media.
Give support as required to ensure that corporate activities build a favourable association, generate a favourable impression and positive reputation with our external stakeholders (i.e., undertake a successful corporate branding initiative).
Coordinate public relations/ corporate communication for key corporate events, including the Board of Directors Meetings, Investor Briefings, and actively participate in and represent the company at various corporate events.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate level in Communications or Management (with very good knowledge of contemporary communications good practice.)
At least 2-3 years’ experience in a corporate environment is a key requirement.
Proven organizational skills (time management, accuracy in reporting and ability to organize events effectively).
Experience in media relations and campaigning.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills (ability to engage at all levels in a corporate set up).
High quality written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
Ability to keep sensitive information and handle tasks in an confidential manner at all times is a pre-requisite.
