QualificationsWhat will you bring?
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline

Ten years' professional experience working in construction management, facility planning or similar field.

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English required.

Fluency in French preferred.

Ergonomics training preferred.

Audio-visual experience preferred.

Must have a current passport or can obtain one in 60 days.

Licenses and Certifications
Certification in Commercial Construction Management or similar credential preferred.

Lead the Africa Region real estate acquisition process for both owned and leased properties. Accountable for all aspects of due diligence planning, programming, and project management for construction of owned facilities. Conducts feasibility studies to assess the viability of property ownership in the Africa Region, and leads the collaboration cross-functionally with field office management throughout the acquisition process for both owned and leased facilities.

Serve as lead project manager for construction of new buildings in Ghana and Togo, ensuring designs meet local codes, ministry requirements, and functional needs. Develops Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV) models, and performance metrics for buy/build initiatives, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.

Oversee construction standards at every work-site, including control and use of specified construction materials and that construction practice meets the design specifications in the approved blueprints. Ensures that financial and pilferage risk is minimized during construction implementation.

Develop project scope of work through discussions with Compassion’s internal functions and aligns facility plans to support the agreed upon business objectives.

Manage and oversees construction projects’ performance and communicates status and performance by location for all of Africa region. Ensures weekly reports are provided to leadership in a timely manner.
