Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing meals as per time specification and right temperatures
• Assisting the Chef in arrangement of the kitchen
• Assisting in taking daily and monthly inventory of all food items, equipment, crockery, cutlery and China ware.
• Placing of daily requisition ,quality inspection of supplies and receiving kitchen orders
• Assisting in orientation of new staff.
• Taking charge when the Chef is not around by ensuring that the kitchen operations run smoothly.
• Checking storage status for all food items, ensuring correct labeling, check expiry of all kitchen related items and ensure the items are stored in airtight containers.
• Assisting in planning day specials and new menu items
• Assumes all duties assigned by the Chef.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• At least a Diploma in Hotel Management or related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 Years working experience as a Cook.
