This job entails liaising with the insurance companies, tracking the company debt and ensuring it is paid on time and within the company's acceptable limits; preparing regular financial reports on accounts receivables. A good understanding and experience in hospital-insurance relations is paramount.

Kilimani Children’s Clinic is an outpatient medical institution specializing in the provision of medical services to children. In the provision of these services, we partner with a number of insurance companies and other corporate bodies who receive these services on credit. We seek to recruit a highly motivated individual to this position of credit controller and debt collector.

JOB PURPOSE
• To vet potential partners for credit worthiness and facilitate contractual engagements.
• To ensure partners adhere to credit terms.
• To track the company’s debt ensuring timely payment of dues and devising ways to keep debt within acceptable limits as per company policy and targets.
• To be the liaison between the company and its debtors.
• Ensuring production of timely financial reports as relates to the accounts receivables.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar business-related degree from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in accounting packages, HMIS
• Professional training in Customer Service.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is vital.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• A good understanding of the healthcare industry in Kenya.
• Strong analytical and sound numerical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrable leadership and negotiating skills.
• Demonstrable ability in debt collection.
