Job Description

Background
The Center for International Health, Education and
Biosecurity (CIHEB)-Kenya is a local non-governmental organization collaborating
with the Ministry of Health and County Health Management Teams to strengthen
health systems for improved quality of health care in Kenya. CIHEB-K is collaborating
with the University of Maryland, Baltimore CIHEB-Kenya, with funding from
Presidential Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Center for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to strengthen health systems for the
provision of HIV prevention and treatment services, roll-out case-based
surveillance systems and to support national vaccine preparedness and disease
prevention.

Data Clerk

Location:Migori and Kisumu

Position Summary
Under the supervision of Data Manager, the Data clerk will support data
management including updating and maintaining of CBS data. S/he will ensure
accurate and timely documentation including completeness of both electronic and
hardcopy data among other duties.

Duties
and Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate data entry into the
database(s)
Clean and ensure completeness of electronic and
hard copy data.
Offer support with data scanning and
verification.
Ensure all data (soft and hard copy) is
documented and filed appropriately.
Maintain data security and confidentiality.
Updating and overseeing CBS database
updates.
Generate study summaries, validation, and reports
as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience
College
Diploma with a specialization in Health Records and Information, Information
Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health Informatics,
Statistics or Minimum of one (1) year experience in data.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet packages
(MS-excel) and other MS office packages.
Pleasant personality, flexible, team player,
ability to solve problems, work with minimal supervision.

Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
