Engineering Delivery Manager (Mid - Senior Level) At Environmental Resources Management (Erm)

This is the roleThe EHS Libryo Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for the following:Plan, coordinate and supervise engineering projects and supervise multiple teamsBuild and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplinesFormulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managersDetermining the need for training and talent developmentDevelop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering department across all teamsHiring, recruiting and training of engineering talentOversee the development and maintenance of engineering team competenceDevelop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operationsProvide performance ratings and reviews for team membersReview department objectives for adequacy and consistency with business objectivesMonthly reporting of departmental metricsDrive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitivenessDefine, manage, measure and report relevant Key Performance IndicatorsDefine workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectivenessIdentifies resource needs and develops justificationCoach and develop members of the engineering team.RequirementsUnderstand scaling and enjoy the opportunity to grow an engineering teamDecision making, problem-solving and have excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise workLead teams and work jointly across departmentsAbove average analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve people and process problemsGreat attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAt least 10 years of experience managing/working in engineering teamsThis is youYou're a proven leader who cares about your team, keen to share your knowledge and open to giving (and receiving) continuous feedbackYou're a strong communicator and thrive working cross-functionallyYou have experience managing or mentoring the performance and development of engineersYou know what good looks like for a high-performing team of engineers and know how to get thereYou have previously worked as a software engineer at a senior levelYou have an empathetic leadership style and you build strong, effective relationshipsYou should care deeply about helping others achieve their goals, avoid burnout, and become the best engineers they can beA fundamental understanding of the principles of Agile and Lean developmentYou're product-minded and understand the trade offs between quality and delivering fastYou love to learn new skills and want to develop your existing ones to maximise your potentialYou care about impact, love a challenge, and take ownership of your work
