MKsU/FM/03/24Applicants should meet the following requirements:Must have an earned Diploma in Agriculture, or Farm Management, or Agribusiness Management, or Agricultural Education and Extension, or closely related field.Must be Computer Literate.ORCertificate in Agriculture, or Farm Management, Agribusiness Management, or Agricultural Education and Extension, or closely related field, plusSix (6) years' work experience three (3) of which in Grade 3/4 or equivalent.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage production activities in the farm, including budgetsOrganize and supervise crop production activities including field preparation, planting, weeding, irrigation, fertilizer and pesticide application, harvesting and post-harvest activitiesOrganize and supervise livestock production activitiesSearch for markets and organize for sale of the farm's produceMake requests for supplies of farm inputs such as manure, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides and tools/equipmentArrange for the installation, maintenance and repair of farm structures, machinery and equipmentKeep up-to-date farm records including inventory, production, labour and financial recordsKeep a computer database of farm activities and recordsAssist lecturers in organizing and delivering practical field sessions to studentsEnsure that farm activities comply with government regulations and university policies.
