As a Field Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the network of Koko Points deployed at distributed agent locations. The ultimate goal is to ensure network availability by performing regular scheduled maintenance as well as responding to and resolving incidents in the field on time and to set standards.
Diploma/Background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in field operations or a similar technical capacity.
Demonstrated knowledge of Koko Point architecture and operation.
Ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment.
Working knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A team player able to work effectively with others and independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Conduct on-site inspections and scheduled maintenance of Koko Points.
Diagnose errors and resolve technical problems using a structured approach with a view to resolving incidents in a timely manner and prevent recurrence.
Document troubleshooting steps, workarounds and resolution details.
Make recommendations for product and process improvements.
Take advantage of agent and customer interactions while in the field to gather intelligence and feeding.
Plan and prioritize field activities to ensure optimal use of resources and efficient operations.
Demonstrate accountability, care and responsibility for company resources, tools and equipment assigned to the team; maintaining them in good working condition.
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System requirements, as well as communicating any potential risks identified.
