Summit Recruitment and Search Africa is a leading Recruitment and Executive Search agency head quartered in Kenya providing outstanding talent to a wide range of companies and NGOs in various business sectors across Africa.Our client, an International NGO, is looking for a for their offices in Kenya. They are seeking a dedicated financial modelling & valuation Analyst specialist to join their growing company and will work across on their three main teams: Investments, Business Development and Asset Management teams. The successful candidate will work directly with the rest of the team based in, Nairobi and London on projects/targets during all phases. The duties will include analyzing financial data and transactions, performing sensitivity analysis and other ad hoc tasks, as well as creating and conducting presentations for teams based on the results of these findings.Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality spreadsheets and reports for the respective teams as requiredConducting market research and assist in assessing the market appetite on entry or exit of an investmentUse financial analysis tools and best practice techniques to review and/or evaluate financial forecasts and advise teams, always ensuring that the proposals are not just theoretical but deliverableEvaluate companies using various financial valuation methods, such as DCF, comparable company analysis, capital structure analysis etcWork with the teams to provide updated valuations, predictive forecasts for the Company's business planning, amongst othersLead on small to medium sized deals, with the support of the financial modelling manager that are in pre-financial close (pre-FC) stagProvide inputs on financial and non-financial risks as well as mitigants for those riskConduct scenario and sensitivity analysis with the intent to support investment activities, with guidance from your team manager and the Head of InvestmentsWork with the team in updating the financial models and business plans developed for the organisationWork with the manager and a team of investment analysts, businesses development analysts and/or asset managers on the review, decision-making and forecasting of various projectsSupport in procuring and managing the performance of developers acting on behalf of the client; this would consist of reviewing submitted proposals, invoices and calculating success fees Qualifications Master's degree, CFA, financial modelling qualification, accounting qualification or diploma in financial planning are a definite advantageBachelor's degree in mathematics, accounting, finance, or any other field from an accredited university is requiredMinimum 3- 4 years of full-time experience within top tier firms (whether in an investment fund, an advisory firm, infrastructure developer, or corporate), including previous experience in infrastructure or project financeExcellent Excel skills or experience with similar spreadsheet software, including the use of charts, macros, and VBAKnowledge of basic accounting concepts and a solid understanding of financial analysis and valuation terminology and best practices, such as DCF, NPV, IRR, etc as well as financial statementsIdentify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risksA keen eye for detail and an ability to sift through large data sets to extract meaningful informationExcellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
