Manchiez Grill is looking to hire a Head Chef who will be responsible for managing and overseeing all the duties in the kitchen, maintaining food standards and ensure consistency in all kitchen activities.
Responsibilities
· Supervise the sourcing, preparation and cooking of all food items.
· Evaluate food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained.
· Evaluate and maintain cost of food production for all menu items.
· Ensure daily and monthly inventory are done accurately.
· Responsible for all the food production, and maintenance of the highest food quality and sanitation standards.
· Ensure food portions are maintained and food presentation is consistent
· Approve the requisition of food inputs and other necessary kitchen supplies.
· Ensure quality of all deliveries for use in the kitchen
· Supervise and give guidance to all kitchen staff
· Work with management to ensure proper staffing for maximum productivity.
· Schedule and establish a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment.
· Ensure health and safety standard are adhered to at all times by kitchen staff.
Qualifications
· Diploma in food and Beverage production
· At least 3 years experience as a head chef or kitchen supervisor
· Proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, labor and waste to meet the food quality goals and the restaurants financial goals.
· Demonstrate real passion food (fast food)
· Ability to plan menu including costings
· Strong leadership and the ability to work well within team
· Good knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations
· Need to be able to manage staff, multitask when the kitchen gets busy, problem solving skills, and have attention to detail.
