Responsibilities

Christian Aid is looking for an exceptional individual to lead our global advocacy and our public policy work. The post holder will head our influencing of governments, business and international institutions, to bring about lasting change in the lives of people suffering from poverty and injustice. She or he will ensure that our advocacy is underpinned by strong and credible public policy research, analysis, and positioning, which is rooted in our experience of working with partner organisations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The successful candidate will be adaptable, creative, an excellent communicator and a natural collaborator. They will have a proven track record of advocating for change, and a deep understanding of the social, economic and environmental policy issues on which we work. She or he will have the maturity, judgement and experience needed to lead a dispersed team of 15 staff, within a larger department, providing support and direction in a way that’s consistent with Christian Aid’s values.
