Investment Director (Growth Equity)

They are now looking for a Growth Equity Investment Director to join their expanding team. The successful individual will have management and oversight of the company's investment mandate and strategy implementation on all growth deals, and contribution to the strengthening of the company's brand and advisory platform to enhance deal origination and execution. Investment focus will target growth equity investments in multi-sector technology-based companies that deploy energy and resource efficiency products, services and business models in Africa. The capital allocation is growth equity investments focused on mid-cap technologies across energy efficiency, agribusiness efficiency, water and waste water efficiency, and more.Responsibilities:·Deal origination, evaluation, structuring and negotiation of fit-for-purpose growth equity deals in all aspects·Provision of information, research, market insights, expert advice and networking contacts in relation to investments and projects across the Africa Region within growth equity (and infrastructure) markets·Deal and portfolio risk analysis, active value creation and investment performance monitoring ·Assistance with capital raising processes Regular travel within the African Region as well as abroad to international destinations Requirements: ·10+ years relevant industry experience ideally in growth equity mid cap markets, with some exposure to the clean renewable energy / infrastructure sector.·Demonstrated deal transaction coverage in Africa with strong networks ·Demonstrated auditable growth equity transaction track record with clear understanding of private equity growth capital transactions·Establish clear, detailed deal flow strategies and transaction plans, anticipating potential barriers and plan how to overcome/accommodate these.·Strong demonstrable skills set in the negotiation of PE growth transactionsBenefits:·Salary = $180,000 - $250,000 ·50% discrepancy bonus ·Carried interestIf you would be interested in joining an impact investor focused on Energy with the plan to lead a fund focused on Growth Equity then please get in contact to discuss.
