Musthave a relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
Musthave a minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT or database administration.
Mustbe Proficient in using Sage Evolution.
Musthave experience in multiple OS platforms with a strong emphasis on Sage.
Musthave experience working in a research environment that relies on Open source solutions.
Musthave in-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, security architecture.
Mustbe knowledgeable in securing and hardening operating systems, networks, and databases.
Musthave knowledge of the incident response life cycle.
Security certifications, database administrator certificate.
Responsibilities
Establishing web system specifications by analyzing access, information and security requirements and designing system infrastructure.
Establishing web systems by planning and executing the selection, installation, and configuration.
Testing server hardware, software and operating and system management systems.
Defining system and operational policies and procedures.
Maintain web performance by performing system monitoring and analysis and performance tuning.
Troubleshooting system hardware, software and operating and system management systems.
Designing and running system load/ stress testing and escalating application problems to vendors.
Securing web system by developing system access, monitoring, control and evaluation.
Establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures.
Completing backups and maintain documentation.
Upgrades web system by conferring with vendors and services and developing, testing and evaluating.
Installing enhancements and new software.
Meeting financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.
Updating job knowledge by tracking emerging internet technologies.
Participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
Accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
