Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 7 years Job Description/Requirements Reports: ICU Nurse In-charge Main Duties and Responsibilities • To assess patients’ condition, notify physicians of clinical changes as well as prepare and implement patient care plans. • To monitor vital signs, adequacy of ventilation and levels of consciousness and pain. • To provide patient care, perform assessment and interventions at a 10 bed ICU unit for trauma and post-surgical patients. • To administer medications in correspondence to the patient’s conditions. • Communicate the patient’s condition to family members in a compassionate and non-technical manner. • Work efficiently with other practical nurses and nursing assistants in the ICU ward. Qualifications • Graduate • Valid practicing license from Nursing council of Kenya. • A minimum of 7 Years’ experience. • BCLS, ACLS and CCRN certified. • CPR Required: • Instant decision making ability. • Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication skills. • Able to handle pressure and able to work for long hours. • Maintain a liaison with other departments. • Vast knowledge on patient/family education. • Be conversant with AV fistulas, Triple lumen CVP.
