Logistics Coordinator

Logistics management, working closely with freight agents and the Supply Chain Managers – across Vegetables and Flowers.

Responsibilities

1. Fleet Management
Ensure all Shipments are handled quickly, safely and within budget - reporting transportation costs
Ensure regular inspection of vehicles and that they fall within regulation

Tracking of trucks and enroute to the farm and back to the airport

2. Driver Management

Supervise/coordinate activities related to routing/dispatching and tracking transportation vehicles

Manage driver discipline/performance/attendance/training, and scheduling of rest days and offs ensuring 2 floating drivers always in place

Manage Driver efficiencies and produce Performance Reports (Africa Fleet)

Organize training sessions for team members to ensure correct use of equipment and materials handling

Staff training on health and safety : - Safety in work place manning or occupational hazards, Safe driving amongst drivers
Coordinate small vehicle services
Job Requirements
Required education
: Diploma, Associate's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 2 years

Required languages:
English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
