WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Maintenance Officer will oversee a technical team, manage budgets, and ensure safety compliance in maintenance operations. They will also plan and schedule maintenance activities while maintaining inventory levels for equipment and supplies. Additionally, they will enforce company procedures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.THE ROLE IN BRIEFLead and manage technical team:Manage a team of Fitters/Line Technicians and Engineers to become autonomousManage a team of mechanics to manage the fleet and forklifts. Coach direct reports (supervisor and higher tier employees) and audit preventive maintenance schedulesInteract with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsManage contractors on projects ensuring they adhere to safety regulations and meet project deadlinesManage Maintenance Budgets:Track maintenance costs on factory maintenance:Justification, request, implementation, reporting and trackingEnsure optimum energy and water consumption at the factory levelUse Continuous Improvement tools within the engineering functionMaintenance planning & scheduling:Manage Planned Maintenance Management routines & maintenance shutdownsControl downtime by planning routine preventive maintenance schedules with production; and monitoring compliance.Manage Planned Maintenance of trucks and forkliftsControl downtime by planning routine preventive maintenance schedules with dispatch and inventory; and monitoring compliance.Maintains equipment, spare parts, and consumable supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.Anticipate needed machines, spare parts, and consumables; Place orders with the procurement team and expedite purchasesVerify receipt of goodsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing adherence to company procedures, rules, and regulations.Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends from the CMMS system.GENERAL COMPETENCY EXPECTATIONSPlan your time to work effectively and productively with little or no supervision.Collaborate effectively with colleagues, achieving positive feedback from others.Demonstrate 100% ownership of your work, i.e. you take initiative to solve problems.Willingness to continuously grow and learn, receiving feedback with a positive mindset.Competency in using and improving data systems.A strong manager who can balance accountability and positivity on our team.
