Job Summary

To ensure success, Marketing Coordinator should be detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of marketing techniques with a keen interest in providing a consistent brand voice across all marketing activities to specific audiences. Working with agencies, coordinating marketing and community events, assisting with the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing activities.

Job Description

Our Client is a rapidly growing social enterprise company aimed at increasing access to contraceptives in Kenya and Uganda. Our Client conducts sales and marketing of pharmaceutical and medical devices across Kenya and with a small presence in Uganda, including a wide range of condoms, pills, IUDs and other contraceptive and maternal health products.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
• Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, event, social media, or content marketing
• Independently coordinate marketing and community events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral
• Coordinate product, event, or content email marketing campaigns, including copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
• Support creation, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice
• Assist with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs, including blogs and public relations efforts
• Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness
• Coordinate training programs through venue bookings, facilitating trainers, registration of participants, mobilization to increase products uptake
• Translating marketing plans, segment priorities and messaging into effective content marketing practices that when implemented in campaigns generate & progress new sales opportunities
• Partnering across the marketing and sales ecosystem to continuously optimize execution and business results
• Effectively manage the process for all established and newly developed brands to build brand equity and create value for customers.
• Challenge and build an existing framework to drive greater results in cost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster creativity and innovation in consumer activation to aid in delivering the strategic business destination.
• Identify, assess and maintain strategic marketing asset opportunities to build brand equity. Ensure the execution of assets to maximize the ROI on each asset.
• Lead analysis and adoption of new media trends driven by changing consumer media behavior. Fully entrench digital, mobile and social media strategies into relevant programs, whilst developing required partnerships and capabilities to accelerate the shift towards interactive media.
• Develop and implement media optimization strategies aligned to portfolio strategy whilst monitoring franchise-wide implementation of these plans.
• Responsible for building share and brand equity through an integrated, creative approach to all consumer campaigns whilst driving the charter process to ensure timely collaboration and relevance.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in marketing
• Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills
• Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
• Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
• Must have a high level of creativity
• Ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate effectively with a team
• Excellent presentation and analytical skills
• Interpersonal and PR skills
• Community strategies (outreaches, campaigns, CHVs/VHTs etc.)
• Basic selling skills
