Mechanical Technician -Nakuru

We invite applications from interested candidates to fill the position to fill the position of Mechanical Technician to be based at Unga Farm Care Limited - Nakuru Feeds Plant, Nakuru.
Overall Job Purpose
Reporting to theMaintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technicianwill be responsible for routinely maintaining all Plant equipment through preventative maintenance programs and other installations as per the established schedules, specifications and procedures.
Responsibilities

Maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment as per the standards and procedures.

Provide emergency/unscheduled mechanical repairs of production equipment during production and carry out scheduled maintenance of all plant equipment.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform the required maintenance and services.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

Trouble shooting mechanical equipment and machines failure.

Implementation of existing TPM programs.

Rectification of all existing abnormalities (Red & Yellow Tags) as per the set deadlines.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Required Qualifications and Skills

1. A Diploma in mechanical Engineering

2. At least two (2) years experience in maintenance of machineries in a busy factory environment.

3. Knowledge of maintenance and trouble shooting in mechanical machines, equipment/systems and other installations in a factory.

4. General fitting, welding and fabrication skills

5. Computer literate.
