Medical Specialist Ii – Orthopaedic Surgeon - 2 Posts At Tharaka Nithi County Assembly

Requirements for appointment:Be a Kenyan citizen;Be a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., & ChB.) Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;A Masters Degree in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery from a University recognized in Kenya;Registered as a Medical/Specialist by Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;Have a Valid Practicing License;Be of acceptable moral and professional standing;Willing to undertake duties in person in any part of Tharaka Nithi County as they will be assigned from time to time.Duties and responsibilities:The Orthopaedic Surgeon shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:Conduct weekly Orthopaedic outpatient clinics;Conduct weekly major ward rounds;Conduct Orthopaedic related surgical operations;Respond to Orthopaedic related emergencies;Interpret diagnostic tests such as CT Scans, MRIs, X-Rays etc;Prescribe and administer medications as appropriate;Supervise and train junior doctors, Interns and medical students;Keep and update patients' medical record/notes;Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical team;Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
