The Role:As the Principal Investigator for the Elephant Collective Behaviour Project, you will spearhead research initiatives using cutting-edge video analysis tools to study elephant group dynamics. This position involves working closely with our Long-Term Monitoring Team, skilled Drone Pilots, and a network of global researchers to deliver impactful scientific insights.Responsibilities:Develop and implement detailed work programs for the project.Manage field data collection, storage, and analysis in collaboration with our scientific and field teams.Provide regular updates and communicate findings through high-impact, peer-reviewed publications.Lead a diverse team, fostering an environment of creativity and rigorous scientific inquiry.Who You Are:You hold a PhD or Master's degree in Behavioural Science or a related field.You have experience with video-based research and/or machine learning.Your academic career includes a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.You are adept at managing complex projects and can thrive under challenging field conditions.
