Job Reference: ACA/ PLO/4 (1 Post): Basic Salary - Kshs 103,394 - Permanent & Pensionable.Job SpecificationsThe Principal Legal Officer is responsible to Deputy Director Legal Services for: -Initiating the development and formulation of policy concerning legal matters in the Authority;Preparing the requisite documents and attending court proceedings;Advising the Authority on compliance with Act, and other relevant laws;Liaising with external lawyers on assigned litigation matters and other legal matters;Compiling the annual report and statistics for the Division;Initiating the drafting, reviewing and revision of legislation; andPerform any other duty as may be assigned.Person SpecificationsFor appointment to this position, the person must have: -Master's degree in Law or Business Management/Administration;Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution;Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing;A minimum period of eight (8) years' cumulative work experience;At least four (4) years relevant work experience in supervisory level; andMeet chapter six of the constitution requirements.
