Procurement Manager

As the Procurement Manager at Penda, you will report to the Head of Procurement and be a member of the Procurement leadership team. In liaison with the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for all procurement within Penda, managing a lean, agile, effective and responsive network that meets all our procurement needs. Because of your excellent work, Penda will become the partner of choice for both current and potential venders.
At least 5 years relevant working experience, of which at least 2 years successfully managing a team.

Experience managing procurement for a multi-unit company with a complex mix of products and suppliers.

University degree in business administration, procurement or a related area

Procurement professional certification including CIPS, CSCMP, KISM-K or equivalent.

Medical / Pharmaceutical background/ experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Lead and build a team of Procurement professionals that delivering and growing in their roles.

Set up a world class Procurement organization with structures, systems and processes that support Penda’s growth.

Develop and implement effective procurement controls.

Track procurement spend at Penda. We know what we are spending per category and how the spend is tracking against budget.

Consistently meet service, accuracy, productivity, and cost targets.

Improve the use of technology and propose new systems that help us expand to hundreds of branches across Africa.

You are a key contributor to designing and implementing the ideal procurement network that best serves Penda at any point in time.
