JOB TITLE: LOGISTICS MANAGER (OPTOMETRY) About This Job: Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent , skilled, and experienced Logistics Manager- Optometry to work in Nairobi, Kenya. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide regional technical expertise: customs compliance, last mile logistics and special requirements (packaging, medical device directives, etc.) To define logistics to support new country launches. To support the Equipment Procurement Team from sourcing to delivery, and with regional maintenance of equipment (including displays and accessories) To manage and report on key logistics metrics and measurements, including delivery times, transport costs and efficiencies. To drive third party vendor logistics performance for all shipments routed directly from vendor to lab/vision centers. To develop budgets and manage within approved budgets. To liaise with warehouse partners on destinations and delivery times. To identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and ensure product supply continuity. To work with the supply chain team to implement and monitor inventory management systems to ensure product is in stock on a timely basis. Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintaining service levels. To develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs, timing and preserve quality. To execute other special projects as requested by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree 5+ years' leadership experience in the related fields: transportation / distribution and customs compliance. Knowledge and experience in the global logistics industry including carrier networks and compliance. Project management skills, including planning, reporting, setting & meeting budgets. Exposure to global duty and tariffs. Relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders. Optical equipment knowledge: technical and sourcing Prepared to travel both domestic and overseas for approximately 20% of the time.
