Our Client, a reputable private hospital in Kenya, is looking to recruit a Quality Improvement and Risk Manager.

Minimum Qualification:Bachelor

Job Description

The
successful candidate will be responsible for the direction, coordination, and
oversight of quality improvement at the hospital. He or she will oversee
establishing and maintaining efficient and reliable mechanisms for monitoring,
analysis and reporting of quality outcomes and performance improvement
initiatives, in alignment with regulatory standards and healthcare best
practices for quality improvement and patient safety. The ideal candidatemust
have experience in the implementation of JCI accreditation standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expertise in Quality Improvement and Risk
Management to support, facilitate and guide the implementation of Excellence in
care.
Assess and prepare timescales, create collaborative
arrangements for quality improvement projects in line with the overall quality
policy.
Monitoring and preventing risks associated with
clinical practice, evaluating a range of approaches to assure the delivery of
high-quality patient care in all settings across the hospital.
Provide training to various cadre of staff across
the hospital and be able to demonstrate skills and experience in coaching,
mentoring and advising others in the application of improvement science.
Provide monthly briefs outlining progress against
agreed deliverables.
Identify areas for improvement and make written
recommendations with reference to improvement methodology to help drive service
improvement.
Analyse multi-factorial data emerging from
clinicians, managers, leaders, and service users which requires competency in
quality improvement charts and the ability to analyse trends and shifts in
data.
Be fully accountable for own practice and take
reasonable opportunity to sustain and improve the knowledge, skills and values
required for safe and effective quality practice.
Support and influence the multi-disciplinary team
in relation to quality improvement.
Implement hospital and national health and safety
policies and procedures and report clinical incidents.
Prepare and deliver periodic audit/clinical
reports.
Assist in internal and external benchmarking
against best practice, and to challenge performance in service delivery in an
effective, constructive and supportive manner.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Health care Administration,
Nursing or a relevant clinical discipline with evidence of additional training
in Performance Improvement and Quality.
Proven experience as a Quality Improvement and Risk
Manager in a well-established hospital.
MUST have experience in the development and implementation
ofJCI standard.
Senior health management experience.
Outstanding team motivation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

Monthly Gross Salary:Monthly gross of Ksh.350,000- 500,000 (USD.3,500-5,000) depending on skills and
experience.
Position Level:Senior
Management.
