We are in search of a Sales and Marketing officer who is responsible for for researching and developing marketing opportunities and planning and implementing new sales plans. The Sales and Marketing officer will also manage both the marketing and the sales staff and will perform managerial duties to meet the company's operations goals.
• Fashion and evaluate overall marketing strategy, including the pricing and distribution of products or services.
• Formulate, supervise and coordinate marketing activities.
• Analyze trends in markets, economy, industry; forecast sales and monitor business or economic developments.
• Start, oversee and analyse market studies.
• Conduct market research to develop new business connections
• Design and execute promotions, advertising of products.
• Participate or guide trade shows and promotional activities.
• Achieve an increase in the number of accounts and brand visibility of company products.
• Collect orders from the various marketing channels.
• Monitor sales in the market to ensure targets and objectives are met.
• Ensure optimal availability of products over long and short-term.
• Ensure Route to Market & Territory Management optimization.
• Development of strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and retailers.
• Ensure cash collection as per agreed terms with customers (work and communicate closely with the Finance department).
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts’ sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory.
• Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis on sales.
• Route to market (RTM) planning.
• Supervise and support merchandizers and foot soldiers to ensure sales targets are met.
Develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, entrepreneurship, or any other related field.
2. Computer literate.
3. Have one year working experience in FMCG handling GT/MT/HoReCa.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
5. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
6. Ability to work in a team.
7. Should be a highly motivated and aggressive sales person.
8. Should be presentable at all times.
