Sales Manager (International Packaging Company)

Summit Recruitment and Search Africa is a leading Recruitment and Executive Search agency head quartered in Kenya providing outstanding talent to a wide range of companies and NGO's in various business sectors across Africa.Our client, an International Packaging company is looking for a hands on The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively promoting and selling production line equipment such as industrial continuous ink jet printers for batch & date coding onto FMCG goods, label applicators in an industrial application etc. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in sales. Work environment will be mainly manufacturing plants, factories and packaging plants.Key Requirements: Achieve a monthly profitable order level to ensure he/she meets or exceeds the annual sales target set by the CompanyGenerate sales to exceed forecastGenerate profitable orders from the sales accounts assigned, ensuring complete customer satisfaction and to establish a long term relationship of trust and confidence between the company and their valued customerMaintain a full understanding of the market. Be aware of market developments and the activities of the competition. Identify sales opportunities and understand how to convert themHandle customer complaints and quality concerns regarding the products and services suppliedMaintain an active call planning and reporting system, and be prepared to provide regular updates of his/her activities – customer visits, quotations, orders etcEnsure that customers receive accurate and timely quotations for products/services; may expedite orders. Follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction with product/service and to identify needs for potential future business Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor degree in Sales or Business AdministrationAt least 10 years working experience in sales in a related fieldStrong sales background especially in prospecting, cold calling and canvassingProven track record of developing new businessTechnical knowledge required, but only to a level of understanding technology in machinery very similar to printers, copiers, conveyors etc.Ability to work on your own and in a teamMinimum 2 years driving vehicle experience with valid driving licenceA willingness to travel and stay on overnight tripsPrevious experience in similar or same environment is a MUST!
