Role and Responsibilities
A well-articulated person leading all Sales and Marketing activities from the top. Well versed in both traditional and modern methods of Sales and Marketing.
Role
• Work with the team across the company to develop and execute strategy
• Work directly with the customers to communicate and drive strategy, pricing, product offering, etc
• Collect, Interpret and Communicate Market Intelligence.
• Develop annual forecasts and monthly sales plans.
• Conduct regular (quarterly, semi-annual) meetings with key accounts to review relevant metrics including quality, on-time delivery, pricing, new products, forecasts, etc.
• Represent the client at Industry / Association and Customer Meetings.
• Facilitate Product Development Efforts
• Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
• Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
• Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
• Build distribution networks
• Develop digital marketing strategies
• Set up internal order and customer service processes for maximum efficiency
• Mentor the Sales Manager
• Brand Development
• Identifying emerging markets
Any Specific Skills Required:
• Has previous textile experience and understands textiles
• 10 years plus of Sales experience with a demonstrated track record of over-achievement
• Demonstrated expertise in successful negotiations and persuasion of key decision-makers.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
• Maintain contact with all current and potential customers in the marketing area ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Aggressive and ability to assess and take appropriate risks
• Good interpersonal skills and a team-worker;
• Some experience with Kaizen would be an advantage
• Willing to travel around East Africa

Salary
Will depend on the candidate’s background and experience.
Airtime and Conveyance / traveling provided for official duties
