Job SpecificationsDuties and responsibilities at this grade entail:Driving motor vehicles as authorized;Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle;Keeping up-to-date work tickets for vehicles;Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;Preparing and submitting reports on transport when the need arises; andEnsuring the safety of passengers and/or goods therein;Person SpecificationsFor appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a D (Plain) or its equivalent;A valid driving license;A defensive Driving Certificate;First aid certificate;Occupational Trade Test II;A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience, three (3) of which should be at the position of driver I or its equivalent; andFulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the ConstitutionKey Competencies and SkillsTeam player;Communication skills;Basic computer skills;Interpersonal skills; andAbility to work with minimal supervision
