Details of the offer

Reporting to the Chief Manager-Service Delivery, the Senior ICT Officer-service Delivery will be charged with the responsibility of overseeing the maintenance and troubleshooting of department information systems functions Design, deploy and maintain server systems and serve as an escalation level to other ICT Administrators. Develop and implement training programs as may be required from time to time.
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, Information Systems Technology or other equivalent course from an accredited institution.

At least three years' experience working in a busy ICT environment.

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Responsibilities

Planning and deploying Server Applications — Active Directory, Exchange Server, MyQ, EDMS, Policy Manager, LanSupport
Design and enforce security across server applications and client computers accessing them

Responsible for systems migrations across hardware and software platforms

Responsible for auditing SOPs and other periodical checklists for the servers

Second and third level of support for the helpdesk officers remotely or on-site

Interfacing with business applications section to plan for new projects that require interfacing to Microsoft Server Applications

Escalating calls to vendors

Designing and updating server documentation — security, configurations, tests, patches, etc.

Plan for hardware and software requirements to support business systems

Scheduling and supervising maintenance of servers, desktops, UPSs, printers, etc

Maintain the IT Asset Management System ensuring that all assets are recorded and updated/removed when required.

Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for staff, faculty and students to assist with work.

Coordinating the activities of interns and work-study teams assigned to them

Capacity building of help desk officers, interns and work studies to better tackle routine calls.

Required education
: Bachelor's degree

Required relevant work experience
: 3 years

Required languages:
English (Spoken: fluent | Written: fluent)
