Our client, a leading luxury clothing retailer is looking to recruit a Shop Manager.

Job Description/Requirements

The successful candidate should have a passion for retail and have an eye for style and merchandising. The ideal candidateMUSTdemonstrate outstanding presentation skills and have excellent people skills.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance.
• Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
• Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget.
• Responsible for reporting to the directors/shareholders on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis as set out by the directors.
• Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation.
• Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise.
• Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
• Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store.
• Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts.
• Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines.

Qualification:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related course.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar retail environment.
• A track record of excellent customer service.
• Ability to think creatively and proactively.
• Previous supervisory experience and willingness to go an extra mile.

Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh. 40,000-50,000 (Approx. 400-500 USD) plus commissions once targets are achieved.
Career Level: Lower Mid-level.
