Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Strategic Information Advisor, the SI Specialist will provide technical assistance and capacity building to M&E and data management staff at Point of Service in support of SI activities. S/he will provide support to the M&E and data management components at the Point of Service levelRoles andResponsibilities:Provide specialized training to facility and other partner staff in Health Information Systems including the Kenya EMR, Web ADT and other databasesProvide mentorship and capacity enhancement to site data officers, HRIOs and M&E teams on HIV-related M&E systemsProvide support and data analysis training to health facility staff with a focus on the use of HIS and mHealth solutions capitalizing on use of the Kenya EMR modules for optimal information support to facility healthcare workersEnsure timely and accurate reporting to both the program and donorConduct routine data management including data collection, collation, analysis and presentation both to program and other stakeholdersEnsure availability of national M&E HIV-related tools in supported facilities, mentor health care workers on use and reportingDevelop and revise M&E processes and related tools that support quality assurance for key program areasProvide capacity building and other form of support to site level staff on M&E activities such as data collection, analysis and interpretationConduct targeted site visits to provide mentorship on all issues related to Strategic InformationSupport Data Demand for Information Use at the facility and program by mentoring and monitoring facility and sub-county data review meetings.Conduct data quality assurance activities in supported facilities triangulating data between program database and National HIV databases, NDW, KHIS, NASCOP VL-EID websiteIn liaison with the MoH health management teams, conduct joint support supervisions data reviews and DQAsMentor facility teams on the development and monitoring of data quality improvement plans initiating Continuous Quality ImprovementDevelop SQL queries for data extraction and other related activitiesQualifications and professional skillsA Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Information Systems, Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or any other relevant degree. A Master's degree will be an added advantageTraining in M&E from a credible institution is desirableA minimum of three (3) years' experience working with HIV Prevention, Key population and DREAMS data systems.Ability to understand PEPFAR MER 2.6 HIV Prevention indicatorsStrong analytical skills with competences in use of any two of the following Softwares: R, Stata, SPSS, Epi Info, Tableau and Power BI.Advanced computer skills including advanced excel, MS access, PowerPoint etc.
