Job DescriptionThis is the entry and training grade for degree holders in this cadre. An officer at thislevel will work under the guidance of a senior officer.Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in:Implementing the annual procurement planProviding secretariat to committees incidental to procurement of goods and services and disposal of assetsBuilding capacity of the organization in procurement managementEnsuring all goods and services purchased comply with the Council's standardsReviewing and monitoring procurement budget expenditures against the procurement planConducting analysis reports on performance for forecast and budgetsProviding technical support on matters relating to procurement processes and procedureReviewing tender noticesReviewing notification of award/regrets and tender acceptance processCompiling and evaluating tendersFormulating supplies, procurement, and inventory manualsSafeguarding tenders, quotations, and request for proposalsPerson Specifications:Bachelor's degree in any of the following: Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institutionMembership to professional body where applicable and in good standingProficiency in computer applicationsFulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the ConstitutionSkills and competencies:Interpersonal relationship skillsAnalytical skillsReport writing skillsCommunication skillsAbility to work in a team
