Ridges Presbyterian School – Membley is a Christian based school located in Membley Park Estate, Ruiru Sub-county, Kiambu County. In order to effectively serve our student population the school is looking for an additional teacher for its Primary School section.

Job requirements and responsibilities:
a) Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, timetables, schemes of work and maintain academic standards in the school to ensure that the syllabus is covered in time for evaluation,
b) Ensure consistency and improvement in curriculum delivery through teamwork and collaborative planning,
c) Serve as a role model and maintain learner discipline to create a conducive environment for learning,
d) Provide guidance and counseling services to learners to instill norms and values for harmonious coexistence,
e) Ensure safety and health of learners,
f) Ensure cleanliness of the school compound and tidiness of learners,
g) Engage learners in curricular and co-curricular activities so as to identify, nurture and develop talents;
h) Organize remedial actions to support learners with performance gaps.
Minimum qualifications:
a) Must hold a P1 Certificate. (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in education will be an added advantage),
b) Must have vast training, understanding, knowledge and experience on Competency Based Curriculum methodologies and assessment,
c) MUST have served as a Teacher and have had progressive teaching experience for a minimum of Three (3) years,
d) MUST have a valid teacher registration certificate from teacher by the Teachers Service Commission.
e) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral,
f) Have any one or more additional skills in either creative arts, drama, music, foreign language,
g) Must be IT savvy: Ability to teach through digital platforms and use of Microsoft office,
h) A committed Christian and with a referral letter from his/her parish priest.
