Our client in real estate is seeking to recruit a Tax Accountant who will be based in Westlands.
He/ She will be responsible for assisting the head of departments and directors in tax compliance for group companies. The successful candidates Must have at least 4 years’ working experience in Tax Consulting. Experience working in an Accounting/Audit Firm is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive involvement in the provision of general and specialized tax compliance reviews including on corporate taxation, employment taxes, customs and excise, and VAT to check that the group companies are complying with the various tax laws.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with KRA.
• Provide tax guidance to colleagues on various tax matters.
• Carry out corporation tax computations and advising on the tax liabilities and disclosures.
• Manage the preparation and review of group companies tax returns (PAYE, VAT, corporation tax and withholding tax) to ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
• Undertake tax due diligence and tax health check reviews.
• Keep abreast with technical developments in the profession and the country, to anticipate group company needs, and offer value added and practical business solutions.
• Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within the stipulated timeframe.
• Manage multi-disciplinary service teams.
Qualifications:
• Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Must be CPA (K) or ACCA finalist.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years working in a similar role.
• Must have strong tax technical knowledge across direct and indirect taxes as well as regulatory requirements.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be organized, accurate and detail oriented.
Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh. 100,000 – 150,000/= (Approx. 1,000 – 1,500 USD) depending on individual skills and experience.
Career Level: Lower Mid-Level Management.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma.
